OMG, why doesn’t NASA put together movies like this all the time?! A dedicated space fan, Knate Myers, used photographs taken from the International Space Station to create this AMAZING timelapse video of the earth at night.
This is proof that reality can be every bit as breathtaking as what Hollywood can dream up. Do yourself a favour and watch it in fullscreen:
