A 69$ Hot Dog??

Yes… you read right! 69$ for a hot dog!

It’s not surprising to then find out that this $69 hot dog from New York City restaurant Serendipity 3 has made it into the Guinness World Records as the world’s most expensive hot dog!!!

What makes it so expensive?? The foot-long hot dog is grilled in white truffle oil and served in a homemade pretzel-style bun that’s brushed with truffle butter. It comes topped with foie gras, caramelized Vidalia onions, black truffle Dijon mustard and homemade heirloom tomato ketchup! I am now sure if I should say “YUM!” or “Mmmm weird”…

Serendipity 3 created the hot dog on July 23rd in celebration of National Hot Dog Day!

Serendipity is also home to the Grand Opulence Sundae made with “5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf, drizzled with the world’s most expensive chocolate (Amedei Porceleana) and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate (from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela’s coast). The masterpiece sundae is then suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries. It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar (an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color). It’s sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac. How is it served? In a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a gilded sugar flower. It’s price tag: 1000$!

CRAZY!!!!!!!

I’m gonna head to DQ now for a hot dog and sundae that suits my budget!
